President Muhammadu Buhari has boasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will form the government in Kwara state, after the 2019 general elections.
The president made the comment at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, while receiving APC governorship aspirants and members of the party from the three senatorial zones of Kwara, Vanguard reports.
We gathered that President Buhari also commended party faithful who have kept faith after the primaries.
He further thanked stakeholders of the ruling party for the positions they have taken to support the party, regardless of the outcome of the primaries. He assured them that the APC will form the next government in the state, with the unity displayed so far.
Meanwhile, we previously reported that Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, disclosed that his ambition is to liberate the people of the state from the den of those he called ‘modern colonisers’.
Abdulrahman also promised to set out programmes towards welfare of the people and create employment opportunities for jobless youths and willing, able citizens of the state
The governorship aspirant further boasted that for a long time, he had dedicated his strength, comradeship and resources to the progress of the state.
