Deep in the Balkans in Eastern Europe, a blind fortune teller saw the
future, predicting several massive world events well before they even
happened. Based in Bulgaria, Baba Vanga (born Vangelia Pandeva
Dimitrova) was revered in Russia, and over the years, she’s predicted
global warming, the 2004 Tsunami, as well as the September 11th attacks
on the Twin Towers in New York. In recent times, Baba Vanga’s
visions have also foreshadowed the very first African American President
of the United States, as well as the rise of Islamic extremism in
Europe.
Predicting
some of the defining moments of the 21st century is mightily, but
sadly, Baba Vanga did not get to witness any of them. Breast cancer
claimed Baba Vanga’s life back in 1996, and her house was made into a
museum. Now, more than 20 years on from her passing, predictions she
made for the year 2016 have come to pass, and with those predictions
came a chilling warning. Before her death in
1996, Baba Vanga had become a minor celebrity, receiving visits from
several dignitaries, including the Bulgarian tsar Boris III. Over the
past year or so, we’ve seen a number of her predictions come to
fruition. Baba Vanga correctly predicted the United Kingdom’s departure
from the European Union, saying that the continent as we know it would
“cease to exist” in 2016.
Even
stranger, Baba Vanga revealed that Islamic extremists would use
chemical weapons – similar to the sarin gas attacked deployed by Syria’s
Bashar al-Assad earlier this month – and had a shocking prediction for
the United States after the 44th President (which we now know to be
Barack Obama) had left office.According to Baba Vanga,
this president would vacate the Oval Office at a time of economic
turmoil, and that there would be a crisis that would “bring the country
down”. The 45th president would attempt to rescue the United States from
its plight, but Baba Vanga said that this would be the beginning of the
end for the United States.“Everyone will put their
hopes in him to end it, but the opposite will happen; he will bring the
country down and conflicts between north and south states will escalate.”
In
this instance, the “conflicts between north and south” could mean a
Civil War, similar to the one that waged between 1861 and 1865, killing
around 620,000 people. It could, however, be a reference to North and
South Korea, two countries which are technically still at war, in a
region where tensions are rising. Worryingly, she also said that the
Arab Spring, which started in 2010, would be the catalyst for a global
conflict, which could very easily mean World War III.Baba Vanga also predicted that China would overtake the United States as the principal world superpower (a prediction that came to pass),
and that by 2028, we would have found a way to eradicate world
hunger. Baba Vanga also has a date for the end of our planet: in the
year 3797, Earth will cease to exist, but we’ll have found a new solar
system to live in by then, according to the Bulgarian clairvoyant.
If
all of Baba Vanga’s visions come to pass, then the world as we know it
would be a very different place. So far, Baba Vanga has a success rate
of around 85%, which is good, but not quite perfect. For the sake of
world peace, let’s hope that prediction about World War III is a rare
misstep for this fortune teller from the grave.
