Supporters of the President Muhammadu Buhari under the umbrella of Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative have begun a counter protest in Abuja to renew their support for the president currently in the United Kingdom on medical vacation.
The pro-Buhari protesters, mostly women and young ladies were armed with placards bearing several inscriptions, and were chanting solidarity songs that convey their loyalty and support for the ailing President.
The protesters, under the aegis of Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative have converged at the Unity Fountain, Abuja singing solidarity songs in support of the Nigerian government.
They are currently marching to the Presidential Villa.
Some of the placards being displayed at the protest ground include: ‘the system is working, no cause for alarm, ‘we repose confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari,’ our president is recuperating, Nigeria is moving forward.
Their actions, Daily Sun learnt, was in swift response to the protest by some other coalitions led by popular musician, Charles Oputa, popularly called Charlyboy and Prince Deji Adeyanju, demanding for either the resignation or resumption of the President.
Meanwhile, the Charlyboy group continued their sit-out on Thursday insisting on their demand that the president must resume or resign his position.
