The newly inaugurated Biafra Security Service(BSS), yesterday said any attempt to re-arrest leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu would be vehemently resisted by the ‘service’.
It said it was battle ready to resist the planned re-arrest of Kanu by the federal government.
Commander of the BSS in Ebonyi state, Ezekwesiri Kenneth stated this in Afikpo town, Afikpo North local government area of the state when
he led the Biafra security service on a solidarity match in Afikpo.
The BSS shut down Afikpo town for hours during the solidarity rally.
The group marched around some communities in the town including Amuro, Mgbom, Amamgballa, Amachara, Ukpa, Ngodo and Amachi.
Kenneth noted that the group will not fold its hands and allowed Kanu re-arrested even as it said Ndigbo and the BSS will not be cowed by
the threat of the federal government to re-arrest Kanu.
According to him, Biafra Security Service was put in place to secure Biafra land against incessant killings and intimidation by enemies of
Biafra.
“All we are agitating is that we are tired of being in this country, we are tired of the Nigerian government and we marching round here is
to tell them that they can’t do us and our leader anything.
“We are also here to restate our decision that there will be no more election in Biafra territory. We are taking the message to every nooks
and crannies in Biafra land.
“Buhari said he will re-arrest our leader Kanu but we want to tell him and his government that they are just a barking bulldog, they cannot
do anything. They sent a letter that they want to re-arrest Kanu, let us see how it goes”, he said.
