At least, 30 million Nigerians and from other neighbouring African countries are expected to attend the Farewell Gospel Crusade of German evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria in November.
The great crusade will be the last to be held in Africa by Bonnke and Nigeria has been chosen as the venue, with participants from Mali, Ghana, Cameroon, Togo, Benin and others expected to attend.
At a news conference on Monday at the Lagos Sheraton Hotels and Towers, in Ikeja, Lagos, Chairman, Central Working Committee, Reinhard Bonnke’s Farewell Crusade, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola disclosed that the crusade would hold between 8 and 12, November, 2017 besides Sparklight Estate, opposite OPIC Events Centre, Isheri, after the Berger Bus Stop, on Lagos end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
“On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke will hit the shores of Lagos for five-day farewell crusade that will unleash the power of God on Nigeria and liberate it from the very present of demonic forces eating up its socio-economic and spiritual potentials.
“Our target is to reach out to more than 30 million Nigerians with the gospel, with at least 10 million people attending the crusade every day and submitting to the majesty of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We expect participants from the neighbouring countries of Ghana, Csmeroon, Togo, Benin, Mali, among others. In essence therefore, this is an African Crusade by Christ for All Nations, CFaN,” he said.
Bamgbola said the farewell crusade would be complemented by a major sideline event, tagged: “Passing the Burning Torch” Conference, in which hundreds of thousands of willing ministers of God in Africa were expected to catch the Reinhard Bonnke Fire for greater exploits.
“The man of God has made it clear to us that the choice to stage a come-back to Nigeria in the final lap of his large-scale global evangelism outreach is God-ordained and will therefore be ‘explosive.’ The last time he visited this great country was eight years ago and many today could attest to the glorious/divine work that God Almighty used him to do in the lives of Nigerians, only by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ saves souls and restored the backslidden; the lame walked, the blind had their eyes opened and the sick quickened through the healing power of God,” he said.
In preparation for the crusade, Bamgbola disclosed that the social media arm of the publicity was launched last week, adding that the crusade would be the last to be held by Bonnke in Africa and that it would be a landmark of everlasting remembrance.
“We have created a highly interactive website, www.rbfgc.org, a hub that will provide information about the crusade and on Evangelist Bonnke. This will be a regular update of news about the crusade on a minute-by-minute basis,” he added.
