A little quarrel between Simiat Jimoh and Esther Oga has led to the sudden death of the latter.
Jimoh has been fingered to have caused the death of Oga which occurred on February 9, 2018 and her lifeless body was discovered at Oke Osun Area of Osogbo.
She has therefore been remanded in prison custody by an Osogbo Magistrate Court over the death of Oga.
The accused person accused the deceased, who was her friend of calling her a prostitute.
She said Mrs. Oga otherwise called Mama Friday had told her boyfriend that she was a prostitute. She said she had confronted her before a scuffle ensued.
The child of the deceased, Elizabeth Jonathan confirmed that the accused person went out with the deceased on February 9, 2018 which was the last time Elizabeth saw her late mother.
Since then Oga did not return home until her lifeless body was found at Oke Osun.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mustapha Tajudeen said the accused woman fought Mama Friday to death on February 10, 2018, around 07:30am at Fountain University area, Osogbo.
Inspector Mustapha said the defendant had committed an offence contrary to section 316 and punishable under section 319(1) of Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume ii Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
Meanwhile, the plea of the defendant was not taken.
The counsel, S.P Ogundari was the legal representative for the accused person.
The Magistrate, Tunde Badmus said the court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case, and ordered that the accused person be remanded in Ilesha prison.
The case was then adjourned till May 8 for mention.
