A source believed to be close to the camp of a top shot of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo, has reacted to the story on the killing of another chieftain of the Union, Rasak Bello a.k.a Hamburger, claiming that ‘your story is not the complete truth’.
The report said that Hamburger was shot by members of a rival gang led by one Samson Agbetoye, popularly called Golden who we gathered belongs to the MC Oluomo faction of the NURTW in Lagos state.
The source who identified himself as ‘Mr. K’, said that the fight between the Golden’s and Hamburger’s camps and the eventual death of Hamburger was ‘an act of God’.
According to the source;
“God has destined it that Hamburger would be killed in the fracas, because Golden and Hamburger were ‘tight’ friends but many people did not even know. Golden is Koko Daria’s deputy, he works directly on the orders of Koko Daria’s (another chieftain of NURTW believed to be MC Oluomo’s right-hand man) and they had maintain their friendship until the Monday unfortunate incident.”
On the Oluomo angle reported by this magazine, the source said; “Don’t even go there, MC Oluomo knew nothing about the incident. He is presently in America and he would be shocked to learn of what has happened. What has happened was a clash between two groups which sadly ended this way. So, please, remove the Oluomo aspect because he didn’t know anything about it. Mischief makers just want to link him for their own selfish reasons,” the sources concludes.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that trouble started shortly after the council primary in the Shogunle ward was abruptly aborted after members protested the modalities for the conduct of the exercise.
It was furthered gathered that Hamburger and his group later stormed the base of Golden in Ago Owu street. Both camps exchanged gun shots. One of the shots hit Hamburger and was ferried away from the scene of the incident by his supporters.
