The absurd fake movie trailer starring Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un—and screened at Tuesday’s summit in Singapore—was created by the National Security Council, it has admitted. The video, which Trump said he showed to Kim via an iPad, portrayed Kim and Trump as men of destiny with the future of the world in their hands in the style of action-movie trailer. Garrett Marquis, an NSC spokesman said in a statement: “The video was created by the National Security Council to help the president demonstrate the benefits of complete denuclearization, and a vision of a peaceful and prosperous Korean peninsula.” The film was credited to a made-up “Destiny Pictures Productions,” forcing a California filmmaker who uses that company name to distance himself from the mocked trailer. “Woke up to 100’s of e-mails and calls from all over the world. Crazy,” said Mark Castaldo in a tweet.
