A frontline contender in the race to 2019 House of Representatives election, representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, comprising the Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North East, Prince Femi Odulaja, has stated that he is determined and strongly hopeful to clinch the Peoples Democratic Party’s ticket, contrary to reports stating otherwise.
The aspirant, whose political mantra is Hope ’19, a reincarnation of the late political colossus, MKO Abiola’s Hope ’93, has assured his constituents that he would never abandon the urgent mission to liberate and ensure his people get quality representation at the central government, insisting that such rumour was a figment of imaginations of distractors.
He made this clarification while addressing journalists after reaffirming his intent to run for the Federal House of Representatives during the Ogun State PDP Apex leaders meeting in Abeokuta on Thursday July 26, 2018.
“It has been brought to my notice that I am no longer in the race,” he said, “But as you can see, I have been meeting with my party leaders in the three local government areas of Ijebu Central Federal Constituency.”
Odulaja added, “I have never for once considered dumping my ambition to serve because the decision to contest was well thought out and my candidacy is about ensuring that the good people of my constituency gets the dividends of democracy.”
Prince Odulaja, while assuring his supporters not to be distracted, promised to deliver the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the general election come 2019.
