Civil servants in Osun State are in happy mood as the state governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola stopped the payment of modulated salary and started paying full salary.
Some workers in the state who spoke with our correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital confirmed that their July salary was paid this week in full.
It would be recalled that Aregbesola came up with the idea of paying modulated salary when the state was incapacitated to pay salaries of its entire workers due to economic hardship during the recession.
In the modulated salary arrangement, only the workers on level seven downward get their salary in full. The workers in the levels eight and above get 75 percent and 50 percentage depending on seniority.
With the resumption of the payment of full salary five weeks to the September gubernatorial election in the state, the workers are delighted.
This act may increase the chance of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Gbiyega Oyetola in the election.
