The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Osun west senatorial bye-election Alhaji Ademola Adeleke said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party of liars.
Alhaji Adeleke, who was presented with the PDP flag in Abuja Thursday, said Governor Rauf Aregbesola was at the verge of losing the 2014 governorship election before his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke joined APC from the PDP.
Ademola, who is younger brother of the late Senator, said he left APC to PDP because of the injustice in the report of the party’s screening committee.
He denied allegations that he was not a card carrying member of APC, adding: “The late Senator and I decamped to APC at the same time. I was a member (of PDP) but thank God I am back home now. APC is a party that lies.”
Alhaji Adeleke said he was not new is Osun politics, and assured that he would turn the table against APC in the election.
“I am not new in Osun politics. Aregbesola was already a gonna before my brother came to rescue him. PDP and my brother won the election for him.
“In Osun State, they know me, they know my brother, late Senator Adeleke. When Aregbesola was crying, shaking, he took the advantage that my brother and I had a little problem with PDP; he came begging, asking my brother to help him,” he said.
According to him, the Accord and Labour Party in Ondo State are supporting his candidature.
