China reported 21 new coronavirus cases on June 27, as a new outbreak phase is ongoing in Beijing.
All 17 locally submitted new cases were reported in the capital.
According to the latest information from the national health authorities, four imported cases have also been reported in Guangdong, Gansu and Shanghai.
The new cases in Beijing have been reported to contradict the predictions of National Health Commission expert Wu Hao.
In addition, a total of 299 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Beijing since a local cluster was traced back to the sprawling Xinfadi wholesale market in the city’s southwest Fengtai district on June 11.
