The family of a media guru, record label owner and producer of a popular Yoruba programme, Idan Irawo has announced the death of their beloved son, uncle, brother, husband and father, Kunle Agboola.
According to a statement signed by Lanre Agboola for the family, the late Kunle Agboola was the producer of popular fans-teeming Yoruba programme, Idan Irawo that ran for several years on DSTV.. He his 53 years old.
The thoroughbred session-man who produced and mastered notable musical artistes such as Daddy Showkey, Tope Alabi, Sunny Neji, Azeezat via his record label, HITMAN and (his wife) Tee Campbell’s soon-to-be released album under KAMP RECORDS battled a nagging kidney disease before he finally passed on in a U.S hospital last Friday, 12th August, 2021.
He died after a brief illness at the intensive care unit of the NYU Langone Brooklyn, New York., United States of America.
The late Kunle Agboola was a dynamic Sound Engineer whose trailblazing programme, Idan Irawo was once the rallied point of celebration for renowned Nollywood stars.
The deceased created, produced and marketed Idan Irawo as well as an award project to appreciate the impressive track records of Nigerian entertainers.
Before his death, Mr. Agboola served the Lord with all his hearts and soul and he was the Sound Engineer and Media Officer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ICB Parish, Brooklyn, New York.
He will be sorely missed by the family members, wife, children and the whole entertainment industry.
Burial arrangements will be announced by his family at a later date.
He’s survived by aged parents, wife, children and siblings.
