The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, paid a visit to his alma mater, the Anglican Comprehensive High School Ipaja, ahead of the school’s 50th anniversary.
The visit was revealed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi via a Facebook post of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday.
Egbetokun, who was made the Chairman of the anniversary’s Planning Committee, seized the opportunity to reconnect with his old schoolmates.
The Police chief expressed his gratitude for the solid foundation and positive impacts his alma mater had made to shape his career and character.
The statement reads, “He emphasised the significance of education in shaping future leaders and pledged his unwavering support to ensure the 50th-anniversary celebration becomes an unforgettable milestone for the school.”
His visit also reignited the spirit of friendship in the school community.
“The 50th-anniversary celebration promises to be a momentous occasion, as the IGP, along with the entire Anglican Comprehensive High School Ipaja community, comes together to celebrate a rich history of excellence and chart a path for even greater accomplishments in the future,” Adejobi added.
