Former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo, has again accused President Tinubu of making lopsided appointments.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Asari who until now has been a staunch supporter of President Tinubu said if the President doesn’t correct his lopsided appointments, he and others like him will no longer be able to stand by Tinubu.
He accused the President of appointing people who did not stake their all during the elections, forgetting people like him who put in their all to help actualize his dream to become President.
MetronewsNG reports that Dokubo is a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
He was president of the Ijaw Youth Council for a time beginning in 2001 and later founded the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force which would become one of the most prominent armed groups operating in the Niger Delta region.
Dokubo is a Muslim with populist views and an anti-government stance that have made him a folk hero amongst certain members of the local population.
