The Delta State Police neutralized three suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in Agbarho, recovering four AK-47 rifles.
The operation, led by CSP Iwok Ndifereke, was in response to a failed kidnapping attempt on September 2, during which two policemen and a driver were killed. The police are intensifying efforts to track down remaining gang members.
The Delta State Police Command successfully neutralised three suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in Agbarho Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area, following a strategic operation.

Spokesperson SP Bright Edafe confirmed the development, stating that four AK-47 rifles were recovered during the raid.
The operation, led by CSP Iwok Ndifereke, Divisional Police Officer of Ebrumede Division, was launched in response to the murder of two mobile policemen and a driver during a failed kidnapping attempt on September 2 at Okoloba Junction, Uvwie Local Government Area.
The suspects were allegedly linked to the incident, which targeted the wife of a Delta State House of Assembly member.
Following orders from Commissioner of Police Olufemi Abaniwonda, heightened security measures were enforced around Warri and surrounding areas.
On October 3, police operatives tracked the suspects to their hideout in Agbarho, leading to a gun battle. Three suspects sustained serious gunshot wounds and were later pronounced dead at the hospital. Another AK-47 rifle was recovered during the operation.
The police are continuing efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the gang, Edafe noted.
