SDNON concludes 2024 elections, welcoming new leadership led by Adeniyi Ifetayo as President to advance digital journalism excellence
The Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON) has concluded its 2024 executive elections, paving the way for a new leadership team committed to promoting innovation and excellence in digital journalism.
In a keenly contested election, Adeniyi Ifetayo emerged as President-elect, while Gbenga Shaba was elected Vice President. Both leaders bring extensive experience and a vision to advance the association’s mission of strengthening Nigeria’s digital media landscape.
Adeniyi Ifetayo Moses, the new SDNON President, is a multi-award-winning celebrity journalist and publisher of Megastar Magazine. With over 15 years in celebrity journalism and media PR, Ifetayo has represented high-profile personalities and built a reputation as a luxury and lifestyle expert.
He is an alumnus of the London School of Journalism and the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism, Johannesburg. His leadership is expected to elevate SDNON’s standards.
Shaba Gbenga, Vice President-elect, is a veteran public relations strategist and social media consultant. With over 20 years in journalism, he began his career at the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) and later contributed to media outlets such as Hope Newspapers, Encomium Magazine, and YES! International Magazine.
His expertise in PR and media consultancy positions him as a vital contributor to SDNON’s growth.

The Electoral Committee, led by Bamidele Adeyemi, with members Jennifer Nwosu and Gbolahan Adetayo, was applauded for ensuring a transparent and well-organised election process. Their efforts enabled active participation and fairness across all stages of the election.
