Kehinde Edun, legal adviser of the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party, claims Peter Obi is back and working with the embattled national chairman
Kehinde Edun, the legal adviser for the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party, has confirmed that he believes Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, is back and in communication with the embattled national chairman.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s *Politics Today* programme on Wednesday, Edun responded to questions regarding Obi’s current position within the party.
When asked whether Obi was still aligned with Abure, Edun stated, “I believe so. He hasn’t made any categorical statement about that. He hasn’t said he has left the party.
Yes, he’s with us, and I believe he’s speaking with Abure. That’s what I know and believe.”
This statement comes amidst ongoing leadership turmoil within the Labour Party, with Abure at the centre of the controversy.
While Obi has not publicly declared his stance regarding the leadership dispute, Edun’s comments suggest that there may be renewed collaboration between the two, despite the ongoing crisis within the party.
