Those who have ever gotten heartbreaks can know what Wilhelmina Morgan Callaghan was passing through when she decided to make such a decision that looks crazy and annoying, getting married to Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan.
The couple that lives in the Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom has been married for the last 8 years. Wilhelmina 41, says that she chose to get married to Henry after giving up men and decided to make her pet, the lover of her life.
Whereas most couples have never been sure of their future together and leave such a mystery to God, Wilhelmina is rest assured that together with her dog Henry, only death will get them apart because they have had ups and downs in their relationship but are still together.
“Things have fallen apart somewhat since we married in 2009. I lost my job in a morgue, so was forced to become a freelance embalmer, there is not much money in that, and then my house flooded.” Wilhelmina told Mirror a UK newspaper “But Henry has been great throughout – he is so loyal. I call him ‘Ri’ which means ‘King’ in ancient Gaelic, because he is like a king – my king.”
Gaelic was an ancient language originating from Ireland and spoken mainly in Scotland with the last native speaker died hundreds of years ago.
Wilhelmina says that sometimes she gets jealousy when Henry mingles with other female dogs and starts flirting with them but she is always calm.
Whereas it’s not yet legal in the United Kingdom for a marriage between people and animals to be officiated, the two Morgans went ahead to acquire a marriage certificate to seal their marriage.
Marriage between animals and people still remain illegal in the whole world and even sexual acts between animals and people are punishable with differing sentences in different countries. However rules against bestiality are continuing to be loosened and it is likely that any time future, the act will be legal just like how homosexuality was legalized after millennia of harassment towards those caught in the act.
In June 2016, the supreme court of Canada ruled that some sexual acts between people and animals are legal and are not punishable by law in Canada.
“Unlike other marriages which fall apart, I know I’m with Henry for life. People may think I’m barking mad, but he’s perfect for me.” Wilhelmina concluded
