THE World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has charged all Ahmadi Muslims to reflect upon their blessings and give their faith precedence over all other things.
The Ahmadiyya world leader stated this during the 25th Jalsa Salana (annual convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Brussels, Belgium, last Friday.
He also inaugurated the Baitur Raheem Mosque (House of the Merciful God) in Alken city, Belgium.
Addressing the congregation, Hazrat Masroor Ahmad said: “We see that Allah the Almighty has blessed the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Belgium in many ways and so all the Ahmadi Muslims here should reflect upon these blessings.
“They should motivate you all to learn and act upon the commands of God Almighty and to constantly improve your moral and spiritual conduct. Every day that passes and every step we take should be better than the preceding day and the preceding step.”
According to Hazrat Masroor Ahmad, each Ahmadi Muslim should constantly evaluate themselves to see if they were upholding the true teachings of Islam.
He said it was essential that they fulfilled their pledge of giving precedence to their faith over material interests.
“Of course, it is necessary to earn a living so you can support your family and loved ones. However, a true Muslim should never become fully immersed and engulfed by materialism. Your first priority and true objective should be following your faith and abiding by Islam’s true teachings,” the Ahmadiyya leader said.
He said: “The true purpose of the Jalsa Salana is to build an ever-closer personal relationship with Allah the Almighty and to be among those who truly give precedence to their faith over all worldly matters. Moreover, we should not only inculcate this spirit within ourselves but should instill such a spirit within our children as well.”
