Governors elected under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are absent from the inaugural meeting of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council now being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja
The governors had been appointed as members of the council to coordinate their respective states.
But when the first meeting of the council, which is expected to determine strategies for the campaign, took off on Thursday, the governors were nowhere to be seen near the venue.
However, many party chieftains including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who had been given full charge of the presidential campaign, are in attendance.
