The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Monday arrived the National Assembly after the evacuation of operatives of the Department of State Services.
Operatives of the DSS had for over 10 hours blocked access to the National Assembly, turning back lawmakers and staff.
Saraki, had stayed away while the siege lasted.
But after the sacking of the DG of the DSS, Lawal Daura, by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, and the exit of the operatives of the secret service, Saraki arrived the National Assembly.
He is due to address a World Press Conference at the foyer of the National Assembly by 12 noon on Wednesday (tomorrow).
This was confirmed by a statement by Saraki’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu.
