The former Nigerian vice president and 2019 presidential Candidate under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has again challenged Buhari, APC over corruption allegations levelled against him.
According to Atiku, who directly challenged the APC government and those who accused him of corruption that, if you know i’m corrupt take evidence to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and stop destroying my name and image before the world and Nigerians.
Atiku disclosed this in an interview with the Voice of America’s correspondent Aliyu Mustapha.
According to Atiku, “I have challenged everybody publicly or otherwise, that if you have any evidence of corruption against me while I was in public office or as a politician, feel free to go to EFCC or the court, but nobody has come”.
He added that stronger laws and processes are needed to try those accused of corruption.
The present government oare confused and because i believed to be their strongest opponent that is why they are trying to make the world especially Nigerians to hate me Atiku says.
