President Muhammadu Buhari and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, have congratulated Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his 55th birthday.
Buhari, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, saluted the courage and boundless energy the the governor brought into leadership.
He wrote, “The President affirms that the governor’s consistency in diligently serving the state and loyalty to the governing party, APC, deserve commendation, urging him to keep sharing the wealth of experience gained from the private sector to bring more competency and effectiveness into the public sector, which provides the engine for driving policies, and actualising development plans.
As the Lagos State governor turns 55, President Buhari notes, with appreciation, the strong leadership he has brought to bear with his management team to contain and reverse the spread of novel coronavirus,” the statement added.”
Gbajabiamila, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, said Sanwo-Olu’s journey on the earth had been worthwhile and that the people of Lagos were lucky to have him as governor at this time.
He eulogised the governor’s leadership qualities, describing him as one of the new breed of leaders.
