Efforts to resolve the disagreement believed to be the cause of the delay in the conduct of the All Progressives Congress governorship election in Lagos have continued.
The President, Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly met with the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, in the Presidential Villa.
The meeting is said to be a last-minute move to broker peace between Tinubu and the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
But there appears to be an indication that previous interventions by the President on the matter did not yield any desired result.
Tinubu had openly endorsed Mr Jide Sanwo-Olu, governorship aspirant, to contest the seat, citing non-adherence to the state’s developmental blueprint as the reason for his opposition to Governor Ambode.
