A magistrates’ court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has granted N30 million bail to prominent lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi. The ruling was delivered on Friday by Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, who agreed to the activist’s bail application.
Under the terms of the bail, Farotimi is required to provide two responsible sureties and surrender his international passport to the court. The case has attracted significant attention, given Farotimi’s status as an outspoken advocate for human rights and social justice.
