In an interview with Nigeria Info FM in Lagos, Daddy Freeze expressed renewed hope in the country’s progress, crediting Tinubu’s leadership and policies for his optimism.

Although Nigeria faces numerous challenges, Daddy Freeze believes that President Tinubu’s reforms have reignited his faith in the nation’s future.
While many citizens remain sceptical of the country’s ongoing struggles, Daddy Freeze called for patience and understanding. According to him, expecting quick fixes to deeply entrenched issues in the country would be unrealistic.
“When President Bola Tinubu came into power, I initially had my fears, but I now see the work he is doing, especially in the power sector,” Daddy Freeze remarked, adding that he now feels more hopeful about Nigeria’s direction.
Despite acknowledging the difficulties Nigeria is grappling with, Daddy Freeze used an analogy to explain the situation.
He compared the country to a “big overloaded tipper with a bad engine,” pointing out that it will take time and strategic efforts to get the nation back on track. According to him, leadership under Tinubu is akin to bringing in a mechanic who will need to work through the various issues to fix the country’s “engine.”
Daddy Freeze, known for his outspoken and often controversial views on various subjects, including religion and social issues, has been a vocal critic of past administrations.
However, he expressed a shift in perspective towards Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the current government’s handling of critical issues has given him a renewed sense of hope for the country’s future.
“I was worried initially, but with the way this regime has handled things so far, I am leaning towards the fact that we finally have hope in this country,” Daddy Freeze said, highlighting his growing confidence in the present government.
Despite his usual candidness and criticism of leadership, Daddy Freeze’s statement on Nigeria’s future under Tinubu is one of his more optimistic takes, which has drawn mixed reactions from the public.
While some commend him for his change in outlook, others question whether the realities of the masses align with his hopeful perspective.
In a time when the challenges facing Nigeria seem insurmountable for many citizens, Daddy Freeze’s positive statement is sure to be one of the most talked-about remarks in the ongoing national discourse.
