Following the backlash D’bank received over his alleged involvement in a rape case, his accuser, Seyitan Babalola has released an official statement.
Seyitan who has now made a criminal complaint to the police, revealed that she was threatened by the singer and his team following her decision to come out with her story.
In the statement, she gave the timeline of events that have transpired ever since going public with her story.

Seyitan confirmed she was arrested and detained by the police for 48 hours
Seyitan confirmed she was indeed arrested by some police officers who gained access into her apartment by pretending to be delivery men.
She stated that she was arrested and made to stay in the cell with criminals for 48 hours before she was released. She says she was not charged with any offense.
However, her release happened only after she was made to sign a gag order by the police and D’banj.
Seyitan further states that she filed a criminal complaint at the Gender Desk of Lagos Police COmmand in Ikeja on June 22.
This happened after her attempt at filing the same complaint at Bar Beach Police Station in Victoria Island was unsuccessful.
Seyitan added that her attention to come out with her story was not for monetary purposes as all she wants from the singer is an apology for what he did to her.
Seyitan went on to add that she has now gotten the services of a law firm in Abuja to handle her case. She also thanked those who rallied around her to support her during the period.

The singer in a video post shared on his verified Instagram page on Monday, June 2020, was seen stylishly dressed up as he danced energetically to his 2008 hit song, Olorun Maje.
A dancing Dbanj could be seen mouthing the lyrics of his song which talks about how enemies are trying to bring him down and how the God he serves will not allow it.
