Popular Nollywood Yoruba diva, Fathia Balogun, makes a cameo appearance on this week’s episode of Glo-sponsored television sitcom, Professor Johnbull, as a stressed bank marketer who is burdened with unachievable targets.
The episode entitled Office Target focuses on target-setting by corporate bodies and especially in the banking industry. According to the educative drama, such workers are often at the mercy of predators waiting to take advantage of their vulnerability occasioned by the desperation to meet their targets.
To underscore the severity of the practice, Fathia is compelled by her employers to tender her resignation letter in the event of her deciding to get married on the job. In his usual didactic manner, Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo) views the entire situation as “animalistic violation of womanhood”.
Like Fathia, Jumoke (Bidemi Kosoko) also has the unfortunate responsibility to deliver on the huge targets set by her bosses. Do the ladies succeed in meeting their targets? Is Fathia successful in her bid to seduce Etuk (Imeh Bishop) into opening a new bank account? Are employees who consistently meet their targets more efficient than others who don’t?
Office Target dramatises how Mai Doya (Funky Mallam) responds to the request for pay rise by Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola)?
Executive Producer of the drama series, Globacom, assured that the episode would provide answers to these and other questions as it is beamed on Tuesday at 8.30 p.m. on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA StarTimes. Repeat broadcast is scheduled for Friday on the same television channels and time.
