Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, believes only divine intervention can resolve the ongoing PDP internal crisis.
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, Fayose said the party’s 2023 election loss continues to haunt the opposition, alongside the “arrogance of a few” party leaders.

He added that these factors have left the PDP in disarray, with no clear solution in sight.
Fayose pointed out that internal strife, with suspensions and counter-suspensions between party members, has exacerbated the problem.
He compared the situation to a sick head affecting the whole body, emphasising that it would take a miracle for the party to recover.
To move forward, Fayose urged the PDP leadership to close ranks and reflect on their past mistakes. He stressed the importance of addressing these challenges to secure a future for the party.
The PDP has been engulfed in internal conflict, most recently with factions suspending key figures such as National Chairman Umar Damagum and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu.
The suspensions highlight the ongoing discord within the party, leaving its future uncertain.
