In obeisance to his creator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the Asiwaju of Remo Christians, and his family, held the annual New Year sing song and memorial service to honour his departed father, His Grace Most Rev. Abraham Adebola Daniel, who passed on to glory fifteen years ago.
Pa Abraham Daniel had a flourishing printing and typewriting companies known as Irewole Typing and Printing Institute in Ibadan before becoming a clergyman in 1945.
Ever since he had been called into the ministry, he had pioneered several churches spanning the length and breath of Nigeria including Benin City, Warri,Sapele and Ibadan. Others are Port Harcourt, Idogo, Ifo and Abeokuta. He was also instrumental in the expansion of the gospel into the West African sub region including Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
After a successful completion of his 8years term as the governor of Ogun State, his son, Otunba Gbenga Daniel dedicated a tabernacle in his father’s name in 2011, who could only worship there once for he was called to glory eight months after.
This year memorial, which held at the same Abraham’s Tabernacle, Baptist International Worship Centre in Sagamu, Ogun State, was graced by many dignitaries, among whom were the executive governor of the state, Dr. Dapo Abiodun, royalities and several politicians.
