A Fox News Show host pointed his finger right back at Donald Trump when it came to his critical view of the coverage by media outlets on his obsessive Twitter habits.
According to the Hill, Neil Cavuto, host of Fox News’ Cavuto Coast to Coast, attacked Trump for criticizing the media’s coverage of his inappropriate use of Twitter to address the country.
“Mr. President, it’s not the fake news media that’s your problem,” Cavuto said on Fox. “It’s you. It’s not just your tweeting, it’s your scapegoating. It’s your refusal to see that sometimes you’re the one who’s feeding your own beast and acting beastly with your own guys.”
“Look at the critiques you’re now hearing from usually friendly and supportive allies as sort of like an intervention. Because firing off these angry missives and tweets risks your political discussion.”
Trump hosted a news conference on Tuesday during which he slammed the media, referring to them collectively as “dishonest”, “sleazy”, and the worst people that he has ever met.
“Sorry folks, but if I would have relied on the Fake News of CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, washpost or nytimes, I would have had ZERO chance winning WH”, Trump tweeted.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders brought up the point that Trump’s tweets aren’t vetted before being sent out to be viewed by the nation, which seems to obviously be the problem.
“I think social media for the president is extremely important,” she added. “It gives him the ability to speak directly to the people without the bias of the media filtering those types of communications.”
