The newly elected President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated on Monday that any use of chemical weapons in Syria will result in a direct attack by the French military.
Macron added that the use of chemical weapons is a red-line for France and will result in reprisals.
The French President believes his regime and the Kremlin must work together to defeat terrorists in Syria.
