The inaugural Remo Day at Sagamu’s Gateway Stadium celebrated Remoland’s unity, culture, and growth with pomp, style, and dignitaries galore.
The Gateway Stadium in Sagamu lit up in grandeur yesterday, 27th December 2024, as the maiden edition of Remo Day united communities, showcased culture, and highlighted the development of Remoland.
Organised under the auspices of the Akarigbo of Remoland, the event drew a distinguished crowd, including the Chief of Staff to Nigeria’s President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR), along with his wife.

Other prominent figures such as the Ewusi of Makun, HRH Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, and Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, Chairman of Adron Group and Otun Akile of Remoland, added to the illustrious lineup.
Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, dubbed the “Remo Day Man of Steeze,” captivated attendees with his regal attire and charisma.
Draped in a wine agbada adorned with intricate embroidery, paired with coral beads and a regal fila, he epitomised cultural elegance.
Aare Adetola’s commitment to Remoland’s progress shone through his interactions with dignitaries and the broader community, solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the region’s development.
Communities from across Remoland—including Epe, Makun, Iperu, Ikenne, and many others—gathered in unity to honour the Akarigbo of Remoland.
The presence of Iyaniwura Base, led by Aare Adetola, was a standout moment. The group’s vibrant cultural attire and coordinated homage added a splash of colour to the event, embodying the celebratory theme: “In Unity & Culture, We Thrive.”
Traditional dance performances, drumming, and artistic displays enriched the celebration, creating an atmosphere of pride and joy.
The event wasn’t merely about festivities; it was a testament to the strength and progress of Remoland, which continues to thrive under strong leadership and community spirit.
