Be generous, and someday you will be rewarded. Share what you have with seven or eight others, because you never know when disaster may strike. Rain clouds always bring rain; trees always stay wherever they fall. If you worry about the weather and don’t plant seeds, you won’t harvest a crop. No one can explain how a baby breathes before it is born. So how can anyone explain what God does? After all, God created everything. Plant your seeds early in the morning and keep working in the field until dark. Who knows? Your work might pay off, and your seeds might produce. (Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 CEVDCUS06)
The word of the Lord says the labour of the foolish wearied all of them, because he does not know how to go to the city. Eccl. 10:15
Imagine the level of frustration to a mathematics student in an examination hall who has information about the answer to a problem but not being able to work to arrive at the answer.
Ephesians 1:3 (KJV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
We are blessed with all spiritual blessing in heavenly places, spirit realm, but harvesting the blessing is the challenge to a lot of people. And John The Baptist mentions in John 3:27, saying, no man can receive any thing from above, heaven, except it be given to him from above. Therefore it is imperative, that one knows how to harvest his blessing otherwise frustration continues.
How do I harvest my provisions?
#1. Get To Work.
Your work is your harvesting instrument for supernatural provision. You must be sold out to your work, and if you are business man, make sure you do that business in such a way that you wear it as your identity. That is, be known for it anywhere, everywhere and at all times. You must wear the identity of your work.
You must risk that which is risky to fulfill your destiny. As a matter of fact, whatever is not worth dying for, it is not worth living for. There is no substitute for work in the school of prosperity. Lack of dedication to work or business is the reason people do not see reward. It is your addiction to your work that will determine your addition. How dedicated you are to your calling determines the additions you receive.
Your work is the focus of the blessing. The blessing rests on your work. God blesses the work of your hands. Whatever work you do with your hands in righteousness.
Deuteronomy 28:12 (KJV)
The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand:and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
We the same being repeated in Deuteronomy 30:9 (KJV)
And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good:for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:..stressing the fact that His blessing comes upon all the work of your hand,
Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might. With total commitment and dedication, without distractions. Which could also come in form of opportunities… The blessing of God will come on it.
It does not matter what work you do, proviein righteousness, it is the blessing of God that makes the difference. This blessing brings riches without sorrow. It is not the business itself that enriches a man, it is the grace that is added to it. There are people who are in estate business and are neck deep in debt. Heavily indebted.
Put your hand to work. God blesses the work of your hand to make you a blessing to your world.
Genesis 12:3
And I will bless those who bless you,…and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 13:1-2
1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. 2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
#2. Look For Result In Your Work
Any work you do look for result in it. Expect returns on your business. Your expectation shall not be cut off. If you lack results, you will not have supplies.
Luke 8:1-3, Acts 28:8-10.
Results determine rewards. Result in this case means you are solving problems for humanity. Providing solutions to people’s problems. Not until then, reward will not come. When you solve other people problems, you will not only receive rewards, which could come in form of additional benefits or bonuses or wage increase, you will also derive satisfaction from your work. A sense of fulfillment in what you do.
God blesses the weak and the poor through the work of your hand.
Deuteronomy 15:10-11
Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him:because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land:therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
The solution you provide is a blessing to some other persons. The weak will get blessed, the poor will give glory to God because of you. In your liberality, people are giving glory to God.
To look for result comes by act of asking. With the mouth we ask. As we labour, we do it for ourselves because our mouth craves for it. You also seek result in our labour, and it is sure you find, if you do it in the right direction. Lit up in your search to find. You don’t give up on the adventure until you find what you are looking for like the great merchant, Matt 14:44-46. By your continual knocking, you weary all opposition to your result.
#3. Exhibit The Attitude of Gratitude
You must wear as a garment the attitude of thanksgiving at all times in whatever you do. Whether it is working or not, give thanks…1Thess.5:18.
There are times when things do not come the way we expect, these are periods of learning that are never wasted times in our lives. We should not turn our back on God in times as this. We are enjoined to give thanks in all situations. A true test of love for our partner sometimes is when we are able to bear when in disappointing moments. The mystery in thanksgiving to God is that it releases His presence into our situation.
On two different occasions Jesus needed to feed the church in the wilderness and He opened our eyes to this mystery… after that the Lord has given thanks_ John 6:23; Mk. 8:19-21. God’s blessing preserves the faithful in the earth. Psalm 33:18,19; 67:5-7
