The General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he and his prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of rape are accorded stiffer penalty.
Adeboye, who disclosed this during a live programme on DOVE TV, in Ibadan on Sunday, also said that the issue of rape had become rampant in the society.
He depicted assault as terrible and exploitative, including that it could leave a perpetual scar on the casualty for a mind-blowing remainder.
As indicated by the priest, there is no torment that can be contrasted with the agony of the guardians whose girl had been raped.Myself and petition warriors won’t rest in supplications until the culprits of this abhorrence are brought to equity, in Nigeria as well as everywhere throughout the world.
“Each and every individual who has ever dedicated assault, especially in Nigeria and the world, the infinitely knowledgeable God will angle them.
“As much as I loathe capital punishments, I think each type of discipline that will be given to an attacker can’t be considered excessively serious.
“Anybody, whoever considers assaulting somebody once more, the omnipotent God will stop them even before they do as such and in the event that they demand God will remove them.
“I am calling on every Christian all over the world to please join me in this prayer,” he said.
Adeboye also urged the faithful never to embrace the spirit of ‘good enough’ because it could be an enemy of greatness.
“Your journey to the top begins when you start sensing that what you call ‘good’ is not enough; the greatest enemy is when you think that you are already great while you are still incomplete.
“Your journey to the top begins when you become aware that God reserves the best till the last; the journey to the top begins from your knees and acknowledges Christ as your Lord and saviour,” he said.
He, therefore, urged those who had not surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ to do so in order to reach the desired place of the destiny God had designed for them.
