The President of Jtah Foundation, Favour Benson has said the 2019 National Women and Girl-Child Stakeholders’ Conference being organized by Jtah Foundation will be used to inspire the women and girl-child in Nigeria to greater things and will raise the consciousness of the womenfolk on how to secure their place in the national and international scheme of things.
Benson stated this in a press release issued from her office in Lagos as her non- governmental organization, Jashabel Touch-A Heart Foundation prepares for the 2019 edition of the National Women and Girl-Child Stakeholders Conference which is being organized by her NGO popularly known as JTAH Foundation.
In the release, Benson said the theme of this year’s conference which is “Stimulating the minds: the nexus between education and the empowerment of the girl-child” has been carefully crafted in other to tell women from all walks of life in Nigeria and our girls about the importance of education and how it is pivotal to self-sustenance and empowerment.
According to her the Keynote Speaker of the conference who is the Chief Entreprise & Business Value Director of MTN, Lynda Nwafor is passionate about the conference because of what women are going through in our society when it comes to gender disparity and abuse in various forms at home and at the workplace.
She further informed the public about why it is important for all stakeholders to join hands in lifting women out of the woods adding further that the rate at which women are being abused and marginalized in our country shows that the education of the girl-child is very important.
