During an appearance on the ‘I Said What I Said’ podcast, Kiekie reflected on the profound influence of her mother’s achievements on her ambition. She revealed that her mother is a highly successful businesswoman operating in the predominantly male oil industry.

Kiekie also highlighted how her mother’s resilience and strong character have played a crucial role in shaping her into the focused and driven woman she is today.
Speaking with admiration, Kiekie stated that she has not yet achieved half the level of success her mother has attained in her field.
Kiekie explained how her mother’s impressive accomplishments in a male-dominated sector motivated her own assertive personality.
“I am privileged to come from a supportive family. My mum is a very big businesswoman in the oil space, which, like many other industries, is male-dominated. At some point, she was the secretary of the entire association, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria. People said things like, ‘Why would you put a woman in that position?’ and others. I look at her and say, if this being is bursting doors like this, I am not even loud enough. I have not even achieved half of what she has achieved industry-wise,” Kiekie said.
Kiekie also addressed comments from people who often question her “loud” personality and accuse her of constantly shouting.
She countered this by asserting that she doesn’t believe she is loud enough, considering her over 10 million followers across social media platforms compared to Nigeria’s population. “You have to be as loud as you can be. I am the one with the voice, I am the one with the dream, I am the one with the vision. I know what I want to achieve,” she affirmed.
