The Minister of State for Labour an Employment, Festus Keyamo SAN, FCIArb has lost one of his private drivers, Yohanna Shankuk to the raging EndSARS protest.
Sadly, the deceased’s first daughter will be getting married in 2 weeks time.
The late Yohanna, was a dynamic and hardworking staff who was primarily employed as a litigation officer at Festus Keyamo chambers. He was upright and has worked diligently for more than 4 years at Festus Keyamo chambers, Abuja.
The Plateau born Yohanna breathed his last when a driver who was driving against traffic route hit and killed him around Berger junction in Abuja.
The reckless driver who was trying to escape from advancing EndSARS protesters took a dramatic U-turn and drove against traffic route (one way) and in the process ran over the unsuspecting Yohanna who was on his way to work yesterday.
His remains have since been deposited at the Kuje hospital’s morgue. The Minister and his entourage had visited twice.
The Labour Minister, Festus Keyamo was particularly sad over the incident and has been so moody ever since he got informed about the unfortunate death of one of his loyal staff.
“I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger roundabout, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office”, the Minister twitted.
