Alhaji Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State, on Thursday, warned Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State not to be tempted to return to All Progressives Congress following the turn of event on the party leadership structures.
Barely 24 hours after Godwin Obaseki resigned his membership of APC over his disqualification to contest in the forthcoming governorship primaries, a high court in Abuja sacked Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the ruling party.
Alhaji Sule Lamido, a frontline PDP chieftain in his verified Facebook timeline on Thursday morning advised Obaseki to be courageous and stand on principle.
Lamido, who was the former Foreign Affairs minister under ex-President Obasanjo said: “You have resigned your membership of the APC. Don’t allow the political demise of Oshimole to lure you back.”
The Jigawa political strongman advised: “be courageous enough to stand on your principle and defend your honor. Restore Edo State to its political history and heritage! PDP.”
