The raging battle over the Estate of late businessman and philanthropist, Chief Olatunji Ajishomo Alabi well known as Lord Rumens has taken a new dimension. His surviving son Babatunde has been declared missing by concerned family members .
According to a family source, Babatunde is the only surviving son of Late Chief Alabi after the mysterious death of Farouk Gbolahan and Ademola In 2016, Babatunde was the only one battling the Bank of Industry the trustees of his father’s estate.
His efforts to get the trustees to render account of how they have been running the Estate since the death of Lord Rumens in 2008 only fetched him police and security agents harassments, detention and brutality.
According to a family source “he called me on 23 December 2018 saying that it has become unsafe for him to be at home as he was being harassed by the police and some unknown persons had visited him at home.
He had to run from place to place to hide and he no longer know whom to trust.”
His wife and kids were said to have travelled to United States last year and since then nothing has been heard from them too.
His mother died on the 11th of June 2019 and was buried on the 2nd of August 2019 despite the love and attachment Babatunde Alabi had for his mum, he was not seen at the burial, according to the family source, the family delayed the burial of his mum hoping he will show up but decided to go on with the burial when all hope became lost.
