A family member who pleaded for anonymity said that the suspect who returned to Nnewi due to business failure in Aba, Abia state has been having a running battle with his dead mother over his attempt to take over a piece of land that belongs to his younger brother.
He pointed out that the deceased woman tried her best to improve a lot of the suspect to the point of giving him money to raise the foundation of his building from the money she got after the burial of her husband.
This according to the family source was occasioned because of the fact that Chinedu was unable to do anything about the foundation of his building after one and half years, coupled with the fact that the second daughter was taking a very good care of her mother before her untimely death after a fatal accident.
The family source claimed that the butchered woman even went to the extent of taking money her late daughter’s bank account for the suspect to complete his building after which he then turned around to take over a portion of land that belongs to his younger brother.
He noted further that Chinedu as part of his efforts to mount pressure on his dead mother abandoned the Anglican communion and started attending a white garment church.
As at the time of filing this report, Chinedu’s wife and son are said to have been arrested by men and officers of Nnewi Central Police Station with the hope that the suspect would come for his family.
