Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, have arrested a 30-year-old man, Titus Joshua for allegedly stealing cables and batteries in Agbara, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of the state.
The suspect was said to have stolen heavy-duty batteries, worth 190,000 and LT cables worth N20m with a hacksaw for cutting metals.
This was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.
“At about 0305hrs on 16th January 2024, the officers of the Corps, Agbara Divisional Command on a special duty sighted the one Titus Joshua jumping through the fence with his accomplice into Wasco Cable Company along Hayat road, Agbara,” the statement read.
The suspect was captured by the team while the other gang members fled.
“As at the time of the arrest, the exhibit recovered from the scene are heavy duty batteries, worth 190,000 and LT cables worth N20m with a hacksaw for cutting metals.
“The apprehended suspect and the exhibit recovered have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Agbara Divisional Headquarter for further investigation and likely prosecution. ”
