Manchester United are preparing a deal of unbelievable proportions by offering Real Madrid £183million AND David De Gea for Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata.
The football world is still reeling after a week that saw reports emerge from Spain that one of the world’s greatest players wants to leave the Bernabeu.
And now reports in Italy say United are preparing a mega-transfer that will see them re-acquainted with their former employee.
The Premier League outfit have been chasing Morata for a number of months, and are believed to be close to agreeing a deal with Madrid.
But now the Ronaldo news has meant there could be a big rethink about the next move.
And that could finally see United prepared to let go of their number one goalkeeper.
De Gea has been the subject of intense transfer speculation for a number of years that he is set for a move to the La Liga champions.
Before the summer transfer deadline in, he saw a move to the Bernabeu collapse over a dispute over paperwork. It led to the Spanish keeper pledging his future to United.
But with the prospect of luring one of the greatest ever players in Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, there may have to be certain consequences to the transfer.
The mega-deal involving the three players has been reported in Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
However, there could be big rivals for CR7’s signature, coming from France.
Respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to spend “any amount of money” to bring Ronaldo to the French capital.
Di Marzio does acknowledge, however, that the Portuguese star’s “priority” is a return to Manchester.
