The Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Iftar Programme and Ramadan Lecture held at the Ikeja Youths Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, witnessed an overwhelming turnout, drawing prominent political figures, Muslim clerics, community leaders, and party faithful.
The event, sponsored by Ikeja Local Government Chairmanship aspirant, Prince Adeyinka Illo, served as a significant gathering of the All Progressives Congress (APC) hierarchy and the Muslim faithful in Ikeja.

Leading the religious segment of the event, the Grand Chief Imam of Ikeja Division, Sheikh Adeola Kamorudeen Illo alongside other distinguished Imams in the region, played the role of Chief Host.

The guest lecturer, Sheikh Jamiu Sanusi Ami-Olohun, delivered an inspiring sermon, emphasizing the virtues of Ramadan, unity, and good governance. He also offered fervent prayers for Nigeria and, most especially, for President Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking for long life, wisdom, and divine guidance in steering the affairs of the nation.
The political presence at the event was remarkable as the party hierarchy from the top cadre were either physically or through representatives.
In a show of strong grassroots mobilization, Gbenga Obama, a prominent youth leader in Ikeja led a convoy of Ikeja youths to the venue, reflecting the active participation of young people in the community’s political and religious activities.
Adding to the significance of the event, the heads of the three royal families in Ikeja were present to honor Prince Adeyinka Illo, further solidifying his growing support base.
Each ward in Ikeja was duly represented, showcasing the unity and collective spirit of the APC family in the area.
The event also had a touch of entertainment as prominent Fuji musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, was in attendance, adding color to the gathering with his presence.
The Iftar Programme and Ramadan Lecture not only strengthened political and community ties but also reinforced the importance of faith, leadership, and governance in fostering national progress.
