Against his earlier stance, MetroNews can authoritatively confirm that Prince Femi Odulaja, an aspirant for the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency has stepped down his ambition to contest.
The aspirant, who recently debunked the rumour of him abandoning his ambition, told this platform that he had to step down in the interest of the party in forming a stronger common front in ensuring victory for the main opposition party in Nigeria, Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, to be successful.
He therefore assured his supporters that he is neither abandoning them nor totally forgetting his ambition.
“It’s good to know when to fight and when to let go. For now, I have agreed with the party leadership as the success of the party is equally my success too”.
When asked about his next political move, he said, “I am holding that to my chest for now and I would let you know very soon about it.”
As the political landscape hots up towards 2019, the Nigerian people are sure expecting more intrigues, alignments and consolidations in the days to come.
