A newborn baby was found being eaten alive by ants after she was dumped among the bins by her cruel parents.
The infant was spotted wrapped in a pink blanket and with bite marks covering her body on Monday in Chonburi, Thailand.
Bin man Rungroj Attra, 53, had been clearing rubbish but picked her up and called the police – who believe she had been deliberately concealed so she would die.
Touching footage shows the amazing moment the almost-lifeless girl sprung back into life as a nurse desperately taps her head.
The girl let out a loud cry before being cradled and driven away in the arms of a nurse.
She is now being cared for at the Chonburi Hospital while police investigate where her mother is.
Police Captain Nattawut Na Chiangmai said: ”The baby was carelessly left here.
”We suspect that the intention was for her to die, as the trash can would have hidden her body and the ants would have killed her.’’
Lt.Col Pora Pranee from Chonburi police station said he received the initial report from Rungroj the local council bin man who had been working a night shift.
Rungroj realised the girl’s heart was still beating faintly and called police who arrived with rescue workers followed by paramedics.
He said it was lucky he found the girl as she was barely conscious and leaving her until morning could have been deadly.
The bin man said: ‘’I am happy the child survived. I was so happy when she cried out.
”I feel that the parent who brought the children leave them are very heartless. Why do not you love this kid and the baby is also so cute?
