Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has urged Nigerians to be united and more focussed in the quest for a greater and prosperous nation of our dream.
In his New Year message, Otunba Daniel stated that though diverse in culture, the peoples of Nigeria can live and work together in a spirit of respect, compromise and common cause with a renewed enthusiasm of achieving collective goal of nation building.
The nation, he said, stands at a threshold but “we still have the rare opportunity to think, reflect, reaffirm and look to the future.
He then urged the electorate to be cautious in their choice of representatives at different levels of governance as we go into the New Year that will be full of electoral activities and electioneering campaigns.
According to him, it is the followers that determine who lead them through the ballot and it is only advisable people think twice before making their respective choices in order not to elect ill-prepared candidates with no clearcut programmes of action.
Wishing all a prosperous New Year, he expressed his optimism of the return to the good old days where Nigerians savour undiminished dividends of democracy.
