Otta monarchs, led by Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, honour Bishop David Oyedepo for his transformative impact on Otta, recognising his contributions to community development.
Today, the headquarters of Living Faith Ministries in Otta, Ogun State, witnessed a significant gathering as a distinguished delegation of Otta District monarchs, led by His Majesty Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II), honoured Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo.
The delegation, including revered monarchs and chiefs from across Ottaland, visited Bishop Oyedepo to express appreciation for his visionary leadership, which has profoundly impacted Otta’s status both nationally and internationally.

Representing the people of Ottaland, the delegation praised Bishop Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Ministries and Covenant University, for his unwavering commitment to Otta’s development and international recognition.
The delegation’s message highlighted his leadership and advocacy for infrastructural projects like the Ota-Idiroko International Road, a vital route supporting commerce and mobility within the region.
The monarchs acknowledged that Bishop Oyedepo’s consistent involvement has been instrumental in keeping the road accessible and safe, benefiting both local residents and visitors alike.
The delegation’s message, signed by Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, Principal Secretary to His Majesty, read:
“On behalf of our revered monarchs, esteemed chiefs, and community leaders across Ottaland, we extend our deepest appreciation for your tireless commitment to the growth and development of Otta.
As the founder of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel), your vision has not only elevated our Kingdom but also brought international prominence to our land.”
In his response, Bishop Oyedepo expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing his contributions to divine grace. He reassured the royal delegation of his ongoing commitment to Otta’s prosperity, particularly emphasising the imminent completion of a new Teaching Hospital.
This facility, he explained, aims to improve healthcare access for the people of Otta while bolstering health and education initiatives across the region.
The delegation included notable figures such as HRM Oba (Barr.) Samuel Ojugbele (Onilogbo of Ilogbo Asowo, Otta), HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Ogungbayi (Onitetiku of Owode Otta), Oba Clement Akinyemi (Ajana of Ijana Otta), and other esteemed leaders.
Joining them were prominent chiefs, including High Chief Isiaka Idowu Balogun, the Balogun of Otta, and High Chief Bamigboye Osunlabu, the Ekerin of Otta. Together, these leaders embody the region’s dedication to cultural heritage, unity, and progressive development.
This landmark visit aligns with Otta’s mission to foster strategic alliances that strengthen its cultural legacy while advancing community development and economic growth.
