Younger brother to late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Col, Adul’Aziz Musa Yar’Adua (retd), has expressed concern over the activities of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for deceiving the judiciary to derail the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.
Abdul-Aziz Yar’Adua, the National Coordinator of Aspirants Forum of the All Progressives Congress, APC, said the PDP out of fear tried to use the judiciary to disqualify the APC’s governorship candidates in Kogi and Bayelsa states
Adul’Aziz Musa Yar’Adua (retd), in a statement issued on Friday, urged Nigerians to be aware of the antics of the PDP in attempting to derail the present administration.
“It is a known fact that the PDP is using the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Natasha Akpoti to get the Governor of Kogi State and the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Yahaya Bello disqualified in Saturday’s elections’’. He said
“We are also aware that the PDP is using Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, an APC member to get our party’s governorship candidate in Bayelsa State disqualified.
“PDP has seen an imminent defeat in the two States, hence the resolve to the use of the judiciary to derail the electorate.”
He observed that the trick deployed by the PDP through the court would not save its candidates from imminent defeat on Saturday.
He appealed to electorates in Kogi and Bayelsa states to go out and vote for the APC candidates.
